And that's where you come in. We're searching for a driven Head of Strategic Partnerships that shares in our vision to help businesses thrive. You need the skill and hunger to onboard the right partners to help create an ecosystem for small business that saves them time and helps them grow.


The Role

Partnership is a highly strategic opportunity for Thrive to differentiate itself from existing banks. As the Head of Strategic Partnerships, you will take the lead in conceptualising, negotiating and structuring partnerships that support launching new products and services on the Thrive platform. You must build a team that is highly skilled in business analysis and problem-solving and builds effective long-term deals that fit with Thrive’s ambitious goals.


In this role you will develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of every aspect of Thrive’s product and services, our customers and their needs and you will relentlessly pursue new opportunities and close those already in the pipeline, taking responsibility for getting the deal done, and pushing the project to implementation - a complete end-to-end finisher.


The Head of Strategic Partnerships responsibilities include:

  • Researching and validating customer needs and pain points
  • Maintain an extensive list of potential partners, evaluating and prioritising them
  • Coming up with new ideas that support business goals in close collaboration with Product
  • Finding the best partners in the market, then negotiating and securing contracts with them
  • Managing relationships with new and existing partners
  • Acquiring the required licenses to launch new products
  • Creating financial models that forecast the expected return on investment of potential initiatives
  • Negotiating commercial deals


Experience required:

  • You have 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position
  • Previous entrepreneurial experience working at a startup or founded your own company
  • Passionate about customers and willing to solve problems for them no matter how difficult
  • Experience creating partnerships with third party companies to launch B2B services
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills, across all levels
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent logic in prioritising projects and selecting appropriate partners
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, driven, relentless and a proven closer
